ICMOCE-2025 Women in Engineering (WiE) Awards

The International Conference on Microwave, Optical and Communication Engineering (ICMOCE) 2025 is committed to promoting diversity and inclusion within the engineering community. In support of this commitment, we are pleased to announce the Women in Engineering (WiE) Awards. These grants aim to encourage and support the participation of women researchers (up to 15) at ICMOCE 2025, fostering a more inclusive environment.

Eligibility
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
  • Professional Status: Be a Master’s student, or full-time Ph.D. student (below the age of 28 years).
  • Conference Contribution: Be the first author and presenter of an accepted paper (oral or poster) at ICMOCE 2025.
Award Details
  • Provides up to a maximum of INR 2000/- as travel support (third-AC train/bus).
  • Provides a 20% registration fee waiver (subject to a maximum of INR 1600/-)..
Application Process
  • Applicants must submit the following documents:
      • Completed WiE Award Application Form (Click here).
      • Biography and Research Summary: A SOP (maximum 3 pages) detailing academic background, expected or completed graduation dates (for students), list of publications, and research-related awards.
      • Submitted Papers: Details of the submitted manuscript at ICMOCE 2025.
      • Endorsement Letter from an academic advisor, or department head: A letter confirming the applicant’s commitment to attend the conference and present at least one paper.
Selection Criteria
Applications will be evaluated based on:
  • Merit of the research work (quality of research idea presented in SOP).
  • Contribution to the conference theme and relevance to ICMOCE (as evident from CV).
Important Dates
    • Application Deadline: 21 April 2025.
    • Notification of Award: 25 April 2025.
    • Award Disbursement: Within 3 weeks of completion of ICMOCE 2025.
Terms and Conditions
  • The awardee has to submit a report in the PDF format (minimum 5 pages) at the end of the conference describing
    • One invited talk per day, and
    • All papers presented in any one technical session of each conference day
  • Recipients must attend the full conference and actively participate in sessions and submit the report at the end of the conference.
  • Reimbursement will be processed only upon submission of original receipts on site at ICMOCE 2025.
  • Failure to attend the conference will result in the award being revoked.
