Conference Workshop:
Avenues of Research in 6G

The rapid evolution of wireless communication systems has ushered in a new era of technological convergence, positioning Sixth Generation (6G) networks as the cornerstone of future connectivity. This workshop, titled “Avenues of Research in 6G,” will explore the foundational directions, disruptive technologies, and emerging challenges shaping the global 6G research landscape. Topics will include terahertz communication, intelligent reflecting surfaces (IRS), ultra-massive MIMO, integrated sensing and communication (ISAC), and free space optical communications. The workshop is aimed at fostering interdisciplinary research and will feature four expert talks on Reconfigurable and Programmable Metamaterials for 6G, Free Space Optical Communication for Advancing 6G Connectivity and Intelligent IoT in 6G. Participants will gain insights into the theoretical underpinnings, practical considerations, and policy frameworks necessary to drive innovation in 6G. This platform invites academia, industry, and government stakeholders to co-create the roadmap for next-generation wireless systems.
