Session SU.14.H1.X centered on Metasurfaces for Field Shaping and Synthesis, showcasing research on metamaterial absorbers, polarization converters, reconfigurable rasorbers, and reflective metalenses. Session SU.15.H2.X explored Data Processing and AI for Imaging Applications, with presentations ranging from low-light image enhancement and dementia classification to image captioning and neural network-based image compression. Session SU.16.H3.X focused on Advances in Optical Communication, covering topics such as SDON for industrial applications, photonics-based microwave signal generation, inter-satellite optical links, OAM mode classification, and free-space optical communication. Sensing for Human Machine Interaction was the theme of Session SU.17.H4.X, featuring work on speech-to-sign language conversion, finger vein recognition, object detection for visually impaired individuals, eye-tracking for efficacy prediction, and face recognition. Lastly, Session SU.18.H5.X addressed Biomedical Imaging and Sensors, presenting research on ECG signal acquisition, flexible pulse monitoring systems, brain tumor classification, breast tumor detection using UWB antennas, lung nodule segmentation, and deep spatio-temporal networks for visual speech recognition.
